Events

When a child receives a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or any pervasive, intellectual, or physical disability, parents begin their search to find appropriate treatments, information, and services to help their child's development and well-being. Parents and caregivers of adults with disabilities also struggle to find transitional services and treatments. In an effort to alleviate parents in this distress, The Center for Autism offers a forum for families to gain knowledge and expertise in dealing with challenges they encounter when having a child or an adult family member with a disability. Workshops' topics and support groups provide educational opportunities that empower parents as advocates for their child or adult diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our goal is to inform parents about issues that matter. We believe that a well-informed parent can make better decisions for their loved one. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are free to the community. If you would like more information about our workshops, and want to be involved feel free to contact us at (973) 732-9301.
